About sea buckthorn.
Five ways to bring the bright-orange Himalayan berry into your day: a juice to dilute, a powder for smoothies, whole dried berries, a caffeine-free leaf tea, and our QuadOmega powder.
What is sea buckthorn?
Sea buckthorn (*Hippophae rhamnoides*) is a thorny shrub that grows in the cold, high deserts of the Himalayas, in places like Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti. In autumn its branches are packed with small, deep-orange berries that taste sharp and citrusy, a little like passion fruit. In parts of Himachal it is called *chharma*.
